BEETLEJUICE

                                     “BEETLEJUICE”

In the week we spent in New York we saw two plays. One play was called "Beetlejuice" and the other was "To Kill A Mockingbird".

The plays that I liked the most was "Beetlejuice", this play written by Scott Brown and Anthony Kind, and directed by Alex Timbersme. We saw this musical at the Winter Garden Theater.

I liked this musical a lot because the protagonist is a deceased who does not live in the real world.
In this work a couple appears where they go to the "nonworld" with Beetlejuice, the house where they lived is inhabited by the Deetz family. The daughter of the new family, sees the dead people.

Many things happen during this musical, but what surprised me most was the end of the musical.
Here Beetlejuice takes advantage of the couple's arrival in the "non-world" to return to real life. He gets it and he keeps the house.

Another thing that surprised me was the principle where Beetlejuice came out of the coffin with the book, in that part only screams were caught in the theater.

The second play we saw "To Kill A Mockingbird", I didn't understand it very well. I liked the dress and decoration a lot but the text was difficult to understand.

Two weeks ago, on the New York trip, the exercise that surprised me the most was the one that we did to our classmates last week.
This exercise was expected by Caroline and me.
This exercise consisted of stay all of us in a circle.
Then a member of the group had to start by saying "hoy" to another classmate on his left or right, so consecutively but we couldn’t  change direction.

The game is getting complicated and another phrase that we could say was "you are not my mom". We had this phrase to say pointing to the ground and with great enthusiasm. After that phrase, some partner had to react saying "Yes i am" but if two people said it at once they were eliminated.
You can say these phrases in the language you wanted.

There was another phrase that I always said in Spanish that was "que haces en mi cabeza". If you said that phrase the same person who said "hoy" had to keep playing.
And the last sentence we added was "I want to work with you ...." At the end of this sentence we had to add the name of a partner. that same partner had to continue with "hoy".

This exercise was for reaction and learn at the same time that we had fun, made more friends and learned the names of our classmates.
It also served us to know how to sing with each phrase.
What I liked the most about these days was that we were playing this game on the last day and there were 5 guys and I. The teacher told me that I had to sing better the phrases.
But when I said good the phrase all my classmates applauded me and this made me feel super good.

During these days in New York I learned many things.

It was very difficult for me to adapt because it is my first time that I have a theater class. During these days we saw many concepts. The first day we play games to learn the names of our partners. We also played the game we taught in the theatre class 'you are not my mom'. This game is the one that most represents our group of Ista. We also had some masterclass. the one I liked the most was that of 'China', in this masterclass I learned how the fingers are placed, the way of walking. But what surprised me the most was that 7 year old children have to raise their arms in a semicircle and endure a lot of time. In this masterclass we try and only endure 5 minutes. I found it impressive. I had a great time but we didn't have time to use the sticks.

In the second masterclass they taught us how to love each other on stage and the relationship with our classmates. 

The first day at night we went to a theater to see 'Betelgeuse' I liked this play a lot, it was the second time I saw a play in a big theater. 

On the second day I started to know more about my classmates. On the second day we were talking about the director’s notebook.

The teacher recommended that we have to use the maximum number of pages in the notebook. 

That same day we also did some scenes with our partners. we had to do these scenes without text, like most of the work we did. 

 On the second day we also went to see a play. this work cost me a lot to understand because tennis a lot of text. But I liked the characterization of the forgiveness, the clothes and the atmosphere.

On the third day the body and mind were already more tired. And that's why we missed the first class where my classmates played a game. On the last day the teacher showed us the movements of an art comedy in Italy. This was all very funny.

I was very surprised because all the characters had something different.

These days were a great experience for me, I met many people, I also spent time with people I already knew but now I have more friends with her. but

The most important thing is that I learned many things that I would never have imagined.

I would repeat this experience many more times
